Support for Mums Launch

I was bedridden & in pain due to symphisis pubis dysfunction & a dislocated pelvis during my fourth pregnancy in 2006 - 2007. I had three children & a home that still needed to be looked after, which I had to do myself at most times, at least while my other half was at work, and I did it in absolute agonising pain. So when I heard about Support for Mums being launched in 2013, I was intrigued & wanted to find out what it was all about. I entered an online competition that won me a ticket! A big thank you to Amanda Cox at Real Mums.

First things first, I needed to something to wear to a formal event - this Mum didn't have "going out clothes!"

I arrived at the event, not knowing anyone personally. I noticed a young lady standing alone, so I approached her & we started talking & talking & talking - the beautiful Alyssa & I, kindred spirits

I gained insight into the makings of Support for Mums & met some incredible ladies on the night, raising money for this spectacular cause that supports mums & their families in times of circumstantial crisis.

This is one of the ladies in costume inspired by strong women.

The very hard working ladies from the naked cupcake bar spoiled us with yummy vanilla & red velvet cupcakes, cream cheese icing & lolly or chocolate toppings of choice.

Support for Mums is founded by the gorgeous Jo Kosylo and is a not-for-profit organisation to assist mums & their families at times of circumstantial crisis, or any crisis that stops a family from being able to carry out their day-to-day responsibilities.

They provide support, information, referrals, practical assistance and/or funding to help with the pressures associated with crisis.
