Those were the words Taryn Brumfit from www.bodyimagemovement.com.au used to describe herself, before she turned her life around, after an epiphany she had whilst observing her four year old daughter. "What if my daughter grows up thinking the same thing about herself?"
This message really stood out to me, and that is mostly because I have teenage daughters, & just the fact that I have daughters. Taryn shared with us her personal journey of thinking she was just fat, ugly & disgusting and how she turned that thinking into a movement, that I believe needs to be shared with all of our daughters, so that they can embrace their bodies, no matter what it's type, shape, size or colour.
I spent the day connecting with like-minded women, and left feeling confident & enthusiastic. If you haven't checked out these lovely ladies' blogs listed below make sure you hop on over & check them out now.
The day was held in support of a wonderful charitable organisation Look Good...Feel Better, a community initiative to help improve the wellbeing & confidence of anyone undergoing any sort of treatment for cancer, by running workshops to make them look good and feel better.
