I hired a Strawberry Shortcake costume from our local costume hire store, and my 12-year-old daughter was our mascot for the day.
I printed some free printables to make signs, lolly bags & games.
I made the food based on the characters:
Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Tart & Blueberry Muffins
I also made cupcakes with edible icing that had the characters on them (purchased from eBay).
I purchased green, pink & strawberry shortcake party supplies & decorations, (also from eBay).
We played:
*Purple Pieman – The Purple Pieman wore a Purple & White Willy Wonka Hat from our dress ups box & the kids had to chase him & tag him, the only way he got away was by throwing lollies or chocolates, (we used Cadbury Favourites).
*Pin the Strawberry on the Strawberry Plant
*The lolly question game – All the kids get an allocated amount of lollies. The hosts ask: “have you ever_______________?” If they have done what is being asked they have to eat one lolly. The first person to eat all the lollies wins!
* Throw the strawberry shortcake doll in to the box, the kids lined up & if they missed they went out & then we moved a step back each round. The last one to be able to get it in the hole, won the game.
